Buhari Chaired first FEC meeting since assumption

President Muhammadu Buhari chaired the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday since assuming office on Monday after a 49-day medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

The president was seen in a white agbada and a cap, requested that the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed say the opening prayers respectively (Christian and Muslim Versions).

It would be recalled that President Buhari arrived the country from the United Kingdom on Friday last week; and resumed work on Monday and thereafter sent a letter to the National Assembly, informing the upper chamber of his assumption of duty.

He spent 49 days’ medical vacation in the United Kingdom and revealed how he underwent blood transfusion and series of laboratories tests: remarking that he had never been this sick
